On April 1, 2012, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series traveled to Martinsville Speedway, in Martinsville, Virginia, for the Goody's Fast Relief 500. The race, held at one of the few remaining short tracks in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, ended up going to 515 laps.
